75 years ago tomorrow

Post by ex-khobar Andy »

Utah Beach, Normandy, June 6 1944. My 20 year old Dad, in LCT 2302 (the white one in the middle of the pic) delivered 238 Engineering Combat Battalion (ECB) Company C. WE know they left from Brixham (Devon, SW England) on June 5th.

I know I have posted this before, but it bears repeating.

Thanks, that is good photo and worth sharing again, especially given you personal history.

Great photo, thanks for sharing. What an amazing thing those men and women accomplished.

The men (and women) who came of age between, say, 1935 and 1950 EARNED the right to be called "The Greatest Generation", and I'll have no truck with anyone who says otherwise.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
