Not funny; the rate at which trigger happy idiot cops are slaughtering mentally ill people in this country is horrific. Police in England and other countries where firearms aren’t routinely carried are able to use their training to deescalate situations like that described in the OP without harming the person needing apprehension and medical intervention, but here our cops invariably fail to employ deescalation tactics and instead jump to use a firearm when quite obviously a taser would have been more than adequate to meet the ‘threat’.

Policing in this country has become a widespread epidemic of human rights violations.

Yeah, the shooting isn't funny.

But the stupid header "Cop fatally shoots man with shovel" is funny and the subject line (When guns are outlawed) is very smart.

The police literally get away with murder.

Does anyone know what type of shovel was brandished?

It always was. It's just a little harder for the thugs in blue to cover it up as easily.
