I just received this urgent email from Netflix....

Nah. It will take forever to really cancel and in the meantime you can use Netflix without paying.
Or you could invest in a road improvement project in Nigeria.

You should inform Netflix about that phishing attempt, as they might not be aware.
Spelling and grammar errors aside, it does closely resemble the message they send you when your payment method has failed - in my case a few months ago my debit card was replaced because it had been cloned and charges attempted against it which luckily my bank's fraud department picked up on. Anyway my Netflix and Hulu both had to be updated with the replacement card info and I got emails like that.

I get several of these a week. Hulu too. I click the phishing button each time.

I forwarded the notice to Netflix. I'll let you know how they respond.
BTW -- I don't even subscribe to their service.

Of course you don't have Netflix. It's because you haven't paid, silly! You should contact Netflix to see if you owe any back pay for when you originally didn't subscribe and started not having it.
