Lunatic actress comes in from the cold

LONDON (AP) — The chief executive of Britain's National Health Service has criticized Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle brand Goop and her new Netflix series, warning it carries “considerable risks to health.”
At an event in Oxford on Thursday, NHS chief Simon Stevens slammed Paltrow's brand for giving prominence to “quacks, charlatans and cranks” in promoting untested treatments like vampire facials and unusually scented candles.
“Gwyneth Paltrow's brand peddles ‘psychic vampire repellent,' (declares) ‘chemical sunscreen is a bad idea,' and promotes colonic irrigation and DIY coffee enema machines,” he said, adding British health authorities have issued advice stating there is no scientific evidence to support such claims.
Paltrow's six-part series, “The goop lab with Gwyneth Paltrow,” was recently made available on Netflix in the U.K.

I think Gwyneth Paltrow is a psychopath - it’s the only thing that makes sense. She is already wealthy beyond what anyone should need for a decent life, but like many psychopath CEOs she is driven to amass profits at the expense of the wellbeing of her customers and clearly without regard. I read part of a Vanity Fair piece on her recently that just turned my stomach - it appears she is obsessed with her self image and with proving herself a marketing genius and she just does not give a shit if the products and procedures she promotes end up hurting people. And she has no need for the money. Sick.

I don’t think she’s that bad I just think she’s bought into the “natural medicine” BS hook line and sinker. Conspiratorial self deluded thinking isn’t the sole dominion of right wing nutjobs

I lit one of those candles once and the smell wouldn't go away even after I put the flame out. I went to the pharmacist and he recommended that I spray my house with a product called Summers Eve.
