Right up your alley. This was obviously written with you in mind.
I believe that no one is beyond help, Darren, but first you must admit you have a problem.
Good luck.
The aim of using fake news as propaganda is to make people think and behave in ways they wouldn’t otherwise—for example, hold a view that is contradicted by overwhelming scientific consensus. When this nefarious aim is achieved, citizens no longer have the ability to act in their own self-interest. In the logic of democracy, this isn’t just bad for that citizen—it’s bad for society."

That's a fantastic acorn you found, Ray. I've never seen one the size of a watermelon, so to speak. I'll be back to explain why that should be taught in high school. It's an excellent reminder for the rest of us that left high school many decades ago too.
What you found is the basics of marketing. Ever wonder why advertisers repeat the same ad over and over? Ever wonder why they use all of the media possible?
You are correct in that the problem has to be acknowledged on an individual basis. Ever wonder why they used women in skimpy bathing suits to advertise cars and other stuff?
Never sell the steak. SELL THE SIZZLE. It sucks them in all the time.

Darren, I knew you would appreciate this.
You're welcome.
