What does yours look like? Or do you have a variety?

For several weeks I’ve been reusing a couple of surgical masks I was given when I went into the ER and then surgery and followup ortho visits. I’ve only been venturing out once or twice a week at most, so the masks had at least 3 days between uses to disinfect. I like surgical masks because they’re very lightweight and they have the nice wire nosepiece that limits my glasses fogging - also I know they are quite effective at blocking my emissions.

However, I didn’t want to buy any more surgical masks because I know there is still critical shortage of PPE for healthcare workers, so for the long term I’ve just purchased a couple of very nicely made (in South Korea, bought from Etsy) cloth masks with adjustable ear loops - they’re both flowered, one pink background one navy background, think something from grandma’s linen cabinet. I browsed online for a while before choosing because there are masks everywhere now and some look far better quality than others.

My personal preference is light colored or fun patterns or sports logos, etc. although clearly a lot of folks like the black or other very dark solid mask. I think that’s appropriate for solemn occasions, but I think they’re too gloomy for everyday. Just my .02

I’ve seen a few folks with the bandana or face-to-neck cowl covering, and some of them have cool patterns like that make you look like a skeleton, etc. Some people are being very clever and creative in expressing themselves via mask; I wish all the anti-maskers could embrace the fun we can have with this new safety requirement.

What do yours look like? Which ones have you seen that you like?

I was at a grocery store last week and a guy was wearing a Joker mask, like below. It wasn't funny. It was kinda creepy.

I was given a box of these by my home health care nurses back in March.

They'll probably last until a vaccine in found.

I have a variety - one a day plus one for car, and wash them weekly. Mostly from etsy and local sewers.

I’m not out daily yet (probably not going back to the office daily until after labor day - I’m working more and more efficient at home now anyway), but multiple times a week.

Someone with a gutter mind might wonder about where you go for necessary items. ;)

It's amazing what you can find in a sewer.

Sew-ers. Some were men so I didn’t want to use seamstresses. *I* knew what I meant

I'm sure LR did too — heck, even I understood it so anyone else should have! — but you know should know by now how this group is when it comes to low-hanging fruit.

Would tailor be approriate; I've only used them for people who do alterations on off the rack garments, but I do think places that make articles of clothing from fabrics are called tailor shops.
