Hi Dale. I was just planning to post here to ask how you're doing over there in Pleasant Hill. It's 106 here and I know it gets hotter over there. The air here is "Unhealthy" but that's an improvement over "Very Unhealthy" a couple hours ago.
Drink a lot of water. Good luck.

I was talking last night to a friend in Palm Springs who said the temp there was 120.

It's a dry heat . . . like your oven.

I was at one weather website and it said the temperature is 106 degrees and then off to the right it says, "Feels like 108". Do the weather people have some official weather feeler go outside and record what it feels like? Is he/she calibrated?

Yes, it's not the heat that gets you, it's the stupidity.

So? I don't spend any time in my oven. I don't know about the rest of you.

It’s 105 here and the power has been out for about an hour. I think I’m gonna die.

Is there someplace air conditioned with power on that you can go? Is this a scheduled rolling blackout?
Maybe even a drive in your car with AC on to help bring your temperature down?
Please stay hydrated you are no spring chicken.

Thanks for your concern and advice. No it’s not a scheduled blackout. They’re “investigating” I will go on a drive if the heat gets to me and hydrate because I’m no spring chicken but I’m good for now. It is miserable though. I don’t like posting with my iPhone either. Good bye for now.....

Well, the power came back on a little while ago and the outside temperature has gone down to about 99. I guess I'll live to see another day.

Normally, I can see mountains 50-60 miles away, no problem. Today, the visibility was under a mile. Even the dopey dogs were spooked.
