MLK Jr Day

In Delaware, along I95 North there is visible a tall building on the driver's right, just before the exit that leads to the Wilmington Airport, a building that has been unused for a long time. Last I knew, it was a Sheraton Hotel.
It made the local news when Sheraton bought it. It was constructed by a local developer. All the paperwork on file with regulators described it as eleven stories high. In the final inspection somebody did not get the memos (bribes?) and actually counted and found there were two more floors than all the permits allowed. Final inspector declared they could open for business as soon as the top two floors were filled with 'foamed-in-place' insulation material. The developer went to jail.
So it sat. Eventually Sheraton bought it but did nothing with it.
Today I got email from a local politician inviting me to participate in voluntary community service on MLK Jr day at the Hope Homelesss Shelter. Masks, gloves, and other PPE would be provided.
Yep. I don't know if the elevator goes beyond the eleventh floor now, but the place has been turned into a homeless shelter.
