Jojo, my faithful cat and companion (and avatar) passed away on November 21, 2020. He had lymphoma. I held him in my arms while the veterinarian put him to sleep and then gave him his final injection. He was only 13 yrs old...

I'm sorry for your loss. I had to put Chauncey down on Thursday (1/14) due to abdominal cancer. It's tough, his brother Charlie went in April last year and all I have left now is Simon. Since I tend to adopt among the oldest in the shelter, they only get a few years, but I try to make it a good last few years. Chauncey was about 16; they were around 13 when I got the 3 of them.

Sorry for your loss both. During Covid I'd have been totally alone and lonely without Digby and Ginger, cannot imagine life without dogs/pets.

They all live on with us. We've had nine cats over the last 40 years and every one of them has had his or her influence in how we live today.

Thanks very much to each of you for your comments. It took me a while but I finally took someone's advice to post here about it. It was good advice.
