Honey, I'm going to be a little late getting home

FYI - this is on the Trans Canada Highway in northwestern Ontario.
Giant boulder blocks Kenora bypass
THUNDER BAY – Traffic on a busy Kenora-area bypass was at a standstill on Thursday afternoon after a giant boulder was blasted onto a section of Highway 17A.
Kenora Online reports traffic was not moving in either direction, adding blasting is taking place on the highway, about four kilometres west of the Minaki Highway.
The incident took place at around 11 a.m. CST.
There is no word on how long the highway would be closed.

I was driving past a similar rock fall on Brown mountain in NSW.
Some wag had painted "FOR SALE" on it.

My state's road crews would drop a cone and leave to schedule it. Or call the local FD for fire police to shut the road "until we can get a crew out".

They were able to re-open the road in six hours. I would have thought it would have taken a lot longer, even with blasting it.

That's amazing. I reckoned that the big rock was in the 30 to 60 ton range. There are such things as 100 ton cranes so if they could get one up there I suppose it was doable. Blasting would be iffy because I'd hate to have to stand on that rock in order to drill it. Who knows how stable it is. Anyway six hours is pretty good. I'd be interested to hear our resident specialist in moving heavy shit on the subject.
