Just got around to watching Frontline’s two hour special America After 9/11. It’s about the aftermath, not the day of the tragedy - hardly any images of that included, just very briefly in the first moments. The program is focused on the decline of American democracy and America’s standing in the world resulting from our actions in response to the attack. It’s very powerful, and painful to watch.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
