Well whatever; I just drove home from spending Xmas Eve with my elderly hospice client so her dutiful daughter could party a little with friends - we watched A Christmas Story and laughed abundantly.

I wish for peace on earth, but I’m also entirely certain it is delusional to believe that such a thing will ever be possible, given the nature of man. We are in an eternal battle between those with conscience and those without - I do believe there are more of us who are good, but the damage the others do is too great to overcome.
