The 12 most common human genders?

Post by Econoline »

(1) Straight cis-man (born male, attracted to women)
(2) Straight cis-woman (born female, attracted to men)
(3) Straight trans-man (born female, attracted to women)
(4) Straight trans-woman (born male, attracted to men)

(5) Gay cis-man (born male, attracted to men)
(6) Gay cis-woman (born female, attracted to women)
(7) Gay trans-man (born female, attracted to men)
(8) Gay trans-woman (born male, attracted to women)

(9) Bisexual cis-man (born male, attracted to men and women)
(10) Bisexual cis-woman (born female, attracted to men and women)
(11) Bisexual trans-man (born female, attracted to men and women)
(12) Bisexual trans-woman (born male, attracted to men and women)

Can anyone show me a breakdown (by percentage) of just how common is each of these categories? It seems to me that this is important information that we ought to have when discussing gender equity/equality/discrimination/phobia. Does this data actually exist? Anywhere?

What about a-cis-sexual? Born male or female and attracted to no one.

Hey, what about people like me - born male or female and attractive to no one?
Huh? Huh?

Straight/bi/gay are not gender divisions, but divisions according to sexual orientation. And trans and cis women are the same gender (women) as are trans and cis men (men). So you're actually only showing two genders.

And what about hermaphrodites: Where gross examination of sex organs at birth reveal both? In the bad old days when Docs were gods and the patient had no say about anything, that was taken care of moments after birth with a little snip here and there, and then the government form filled out.

So you're actually only showing two genders.
Really? So what's with the ever-expanding LGBTQIA2S+ family of acronyms? Alternatively, what would you call the 12 (groups? categories? letters? numbers? granfalloons? karasses?) I listed? Certainly the people who are in each of the groups know which letter(s) is/are their own. I just think it would be useful to know, for the purpose of discussion, how many of which types there are in the U.S. population.
What about a-cis-sexual?
And what about hermaphrodites
I deliberately said "12 most common" and ended with a question mark.

Seriously...there seem to be constant culture wars about the demands of different sex/gender groups, but has there been any real research into the actual numbers of people affected, relative to the general population?

ETA: for the record, I'm a straight cis-man. And white.

L, G, B, Q, and A are about sexual orientation.
T and I are about gender.
2S is probably a mix of both.

I'm not challenging your desire for the information, only the labelling of it as being divisions of gender.
