It's the American way. Focus all your attention on which bathroom a kid uses in elementary school, or who is doing readings in the school library. Ignore the high cost of medical treatment while life expectancy is shrinking in America. Or ignore the frequency and destruction of tornadoes and floods; nobody can do anything about the weather and global warming is just a lieberal hoax

snailgate.

Honestly, aren't right-wingers just exhausted by all the rock-stupid culture warring ginned up by the noise machine? Or is there an endless supply of outrage about how other people live their lives?

This, sadly. But you already knew that.

I agree; I recall reading once that Puritanism is the haunting fear that someone, somewhere might be enjoying themselves. Sadly, I think that's a fairly common trait among humans, unless you enjoy yourself "our" way.

Can anyone spare a quarter for Travis Tritt?

I agree with Jim Wright:
I am 100% behind Republicans buying up all the Budweiser and shooting it with their guns.

Seems like a good way to dispose of both horse piss and ammo.
 :ok

I think Travis got a little scared when he thought about how much Anheuser-Busch beer he has consumed in his life and suddenly realized all his best friends are guys and he really enjoys hugging them.

Except, you know, for Theresa Nelson, his wife of 25 years.

That's an outfit so flaming it's fit for a drag queen.

My very best friend in the world has a gay father who was married to her mother for more than a quarter century before he finally came out and lived and loved authentically. It happens all the time, because there are so many intolerant people in this world who will only accept a person if they are heterosexual. When a persons entire livelihood depends on acceptance and celebration by a largely homophobic fan base, don’t you think that is incentive to wear a mask? It happens all the time, people come out in midlife and beyond because they just want a few years to be who they really are.

You’re just naive if you think it’s not a possibility because a man has a wife and children.

I'm with you, Scooter. But please don't make me drink Bud Light.

You know how they used to advertise that Budweiser was 'Beechwood Aged'?
I found out 'Beechwood' was the name of one of the Clydesdales.
And they haven't been going on about 'Beechwood Aging' ever since she died about ten years ago.
