My apologies to Jarl

Post by liberty »

My apologies to Jarl; It appears now that he was right. Until the war is over the people of Gaza will continue to suffer; the most humane thing to do would be to end the war as soon as possible. I'm beginning to think that the use of incapacitating gas injected into the tunnels would be the best thing to do; some of the inhabitants of the tunnels would go unconscious and others would die, that includes the hostages, but it would end the fighting sooner and that would save a lot of suffering for the people of Gaza.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

Gassing noncombatants. Now, where have I heard that before?

Are the Hamas tunnels filled with noncombatants? Do you prefer the suffering to continue?

Have you stopped screwing your labradoodle?

The tunnels predated Hummus (c D Trump). Used by civilians mostly, back then. There is an argument made by some Gaza civilians (perhaps most if they weren't terrified of speaking out) that if there is a truce or cessation of conflict BEFORE Hamas is crushed, then it is a victory for Hamas and a great loss to the people of Gaza who would prefer to be free of the terrorists.

But yes lib, you go ahead with indiscriminate gassing of whoever's down there, "including hostages" as you so gaily warble. And you don't find any incongruity with advising Jews to gas non-Jews and possibly Jews together??? You are a strange bird.

PS I thought by now you would have seized the opportunity to point out the stories of Hamas sexual atrocities as proof of your prior unevidenced assumptions. You may have had a point after all, aside from the lip-smacking.

liberty does not see the gassing of non-combatants historical significance.

The IDF is planning to fill the tunnels with seawater and drown anyone in them. Is that better or worse than gassing them?

Drowning your enemies has been done also; in the Red Sea as I recall.

But seriously, I don't think it's better or worse; my real objection is doing it to the noncombatants (and the Red Sea was closed on combatants FWIW). There are way to force people out of tunnels without killing them, but let's not think of them.

Are there? Without getting hundreds of troops killed in the process?

I think so. Unless you are using something to intentionally kill those in the tunnels, they can be "persuaded" to leave without slaughter.

You sound like you don’t believe the accounts of the Hamas atrocities. You can believe whoever you want; I’m inclined to believe the Israelis. I trust them more than I trust Hamas. I think most governments would try to cover up a mistake like shooting three of their own People, but they were honest about that, and I think they’re telling the truth about the atrocities. If you admire Hamas, you should think about this; somebody raped a little girl so much they not only killed her but fractured her pelvis; does that have any effect on your admiration for Islamic terrorist? Do you think the Israelis did it to their own people? There are liberals that do believe that.

The Hamas atrocities are horrific but hardly extraordinary; Ukrainian women and girls were violently raped in large numbers by Russian soldiers and there are many other places where women and girls have been systematically raped during legal and illegal wars alike. These crimes mostly go unpunished, just like the vast majority of the rapes of women and girls in places where there is no active war or conflict.

I don’t think I’m allowed to quote the famous quote by John Lennon, but it abides.

Between his songs and other writings and interviews, Lennon said a lot.  You'll have to be a little more specific about just which 'famous quote' you are referring to.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Are you as thick as whale blubber? I clearly state (and you quote me) that "you may have had a point after all". That's me agreeing with you, Mr. Flensing. I didn't find that easy.

I continue to despise your lip-smacking enjoyment over the entire issue. You wanted it to be rape and got your wish, I think.

I know and it is Despicable. In cases of violent forcible rape where there is clear evidence of a forceful rape and there’s no doubt of the guilt of the individual, I think castration would be appropriate punishment, but the constitution doesn’t allow that, so I would support the death penalty. I hate bullies and thugs of all forms and all kinds. For anyone who would rape and crush a little girl’s pelvis, I can’t think of a punishment that would be harsh enough.
