seriously, the house was on stilts, it must be beachfront.

you can see that the house to the right of it is also on stilts

designed to let flood tides or storm surge to pass under the living space without certain destruction

the garage doors and siding on the bottoms are designed to wash away

the stilts are inherently unstable and they either broke or the house was lifted off of them

either the design was weak, likely, or the construction was poor, also likely

or maintenaince and or inspections were lax, also likely
