Interface is annoying and I don’t like words split across lines
Don't think it's too annoying myself — and as for the words split across lines, I guess I'm used to it from having done acrostics before.
And here's a tip... you can jump ahead in the quote and fill in single-letter entries or shorter two or three letter words, which eliminates letters and might make it easier to figure out the longer words. -"BB"-

I'd spent the past weekend (and a couple more days) with my fiancée and had just gotten back, so my mind wasn't fully focused on the puzzle when I tried to solve it — which explains the less-than-spectacular result.
