Unable to leave the farm today - 60 meters of the farm track flooded
These fields are normally just fields with a very small dry creek bed running through a culvert. The water is about 1.5 meters deep there as the road dips down a lot.
I can see Jori taking his bakkie through the water to pick up several people stuck on the other side. Rather him than....

Yah just 6 hours or so of rain - not even our usual violent thunderstorm. A steady downpour - unrelenting. Last week it was hail that knocked the hell out of my bakkie. Tomorrow is insurance inspection day - if we can (a) get through the water and (b) get past the two cars that were abandoned last night on the other side! It's just a narrow farm track. Oh well

“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
So far I've collected two sheep, two mongeese, two soggy earthworms and one rather sad beetle. Need a new wife though - this one's past child-bearing age! Oh wait, the only thing I can get up to at night is the toilet..., Never mind
