Re: Here's an Interesting Website
I think caution is the word. This website . . . it is interesting. I wonder in what its interest really lies. I haven't found access to who owns it, what their agenda is or where it is based. Much of it is not live TV but links to youtube and other video providers. Firefox would not let me open Classic Top Gear (which required a sign-in and no means to sign-in).
I checked South Africa and SABC News was available but not SABC 1, 2 and 3 or e-TV (the broadcast channels).
In the UK it was BBC News and Sky News but not BBC1, 2, 3, 4, VII, &^% or ITV which are the open broadcast channels. There were a lot of "TV" channels seemingly for Somalis, Arabs, Asians and other ethnic groups which I doubt are regular TV.
I prefer my VPN which gives access to all real TV channels for $100/year (and right now John Wick is only showing on Netflix in Japan in case you needed to know)

Re: Here's an Interesting Website
Thanks for the heads-up, Meade. At the website I clicked on "About" and it seemed legit to me. I copied & pasted the text below. Also, I went to ScamAdviser and it has a good rating.
I guess you can never be 100% sure of your safety but as far as I can tell it doesn't look like they're trying to sell anything or get your personal information.

Re: Here's an Interesting Website
Yeah, all that's well and good. I took a look at github (from whence all this lovely stuff pends) and can't say that the Wikipedia article filled me with confidence - partly because I don't understand (or care to) what all this techno babble actually means. So, we each gotta make our own way. The benefit of open source stuff is that it's open - and that's also the risk.

Oh well I watch too much TV anyway so I doubt I'll use it much. Did watch some livestream of parliament in Quebec just so I could wallow in the quebecois.

Re: Here's an Interesting Website
I think the time for concern with 'open source' is if you're going to download the software. Otherwise, the risks aren't really any different than going to most websites.
