Sliced lemons at room temperature. Expired milk still in the refrigerator. Salted butter left on the counter, and a sink without soap.

For more than three hours, the inspector tallied enough violations — a faulty dishwasher, poorly stocked sinks, improperly stored raw meat — to give the club a score of 32 out of 100, one of the lowest ratings earned by any establishment in Somerset County this year. She ordered immediate fixes.

Well they did the fixes and a follow up inspection, with the head chef now taking charge, gave them a score of 86/100.

I must admit that does not sound stellar and I don't think I'd write home about 86.

I see that Trump is off to Bedminster today probably hoping for some sort of warm consolation after his very public breakup with Mr Musk. The City of Brotherly Love is just a hop down the Garden State Parkway and maybe he plans a stop there for a bit of rest and relaxation. Someone should warn him to skip breakfast.
