Source: GizmodoIt’s not entirely clear what TikTok video Kennedy was referring to, but the Russian propaganda account RT posted a video Sept. 23 showing a woman who was taking Tylenol while 28 weeks pregnant. The video became popular on TikTok, and RT claims the woman is a “teaching doctor at New York’s Columbia University,” though the TikTok account has been set to private, and Gizmodo could not confirm the person’s employment.
The video shared by RT appears to show the woman taking just one pill and saying Tylenol “works like a charm and my baby won’t have autism.” She also doesn’t say “eff Trump.” The idea that pregnant women were “gobbling” Tylenol in large quantities was a meme among the far-right in the immediate aftermath of the press conference from Kennedy and Trump. But the videos that went viral largely appeared to show women taking one or two pills rather than “chugging” Tylenol as was so often claimed.

On Thursday, Oct. 9, the Health and Human Services Secretary spoke during a cabinet meeting and shared a story about a pregnant woman “gobbling” Tylenol.NEED TO KNOW
- Robert F. Kennedy Jr. referred to a video of a woman “gobbling Tylenol with her baby in her placenta” and claimed she was putting her baby at risk of autism
- The Health and Human Services Secretary admitted that he will “make the proof” to link the use of Tylenol to autism
- Experts have continuously shut down claims that acetaminophen causes autism and the medication is considered one of the few safe options to treat pain or fever during pregnancy
- Robert F. Kennedy Jr. admitted that he will “be doing the studies to make the proof” linking Tylenol use to autism.
“This morning before I came in here, somebody showed me a TikTok video of a pregnant woman, eight months pregnant. She is an associate professor at Columbia Medical School, and she is saying ‘F Trump’ and gobbling Tylenol with her baby in her placenta,” he said, seemingly confusing the temporary organ with the uterus. “The level of ‘Trump derangement syndrome’ has now left political landscapes and it is now in the realm of pathology."
Kennedy said by taking Tylenol, the woman is “putting her baby at risk” and claimed that there are studies that “show the countries that use the most [acetaminophen] have the highest level of autism.”
“It is not proof. We’re doing the studies to make the proof,” he said, calling this a "national security issue." [ffs, THAT'S NOT HOW SCIENCE WORKS!!!]
Additionally, Kennedy claimed in the meeting, “There’s two studies that show children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism, and it’s highly likely it’s because they’re given Tylenol.”
President Donald Trump then chimed in that “there’s a tremendous amount of proof or evidence, I would say, as a non-doctor.” However, he did not provide any examples.
