A Question For Fellow Northern California Residents....

(I say " Fellow Northern California Residents" rather than "Fellow Northern Californians" because no matter how long I live here, I remain a "Virginian"...)
Did any of you folks get a $25 cash gift card from PG&E as a thank you for using less natural gas after the explosion in Milbrae?
We got one in the mail a couple of weeks ago...
I used it at our local supermarket...I asked the check out clerk if others were using these cards, and she said she'd seen dozens of them....
Our neighbors got them too...
I checked our PG&E bills...our electric and gas usage didn't go down one bit after that explosion...so we really didn't reduce our use of natural gas....
And yet we got a $25 gift card and a letter thanking us for "pitching in"....
If I were a cynical person, (which thankfully I am not...
) I might think that those gift cards were sent out willy nilly to everyone in the service area as attempt to garner public goodwill, and deflect attention from the mind numbing incompetence that led to that explosion, and the consequent loss of life...
But I digress...
Have any of my fellow Northern California compadres received this generous offering from PG&E?
