Still here just running out of time

A quick post to let you all know I am still here.

In the last few months I have been fighting with the insurance company the bank and most of all the X
Can't go one day without someone telling me I have to perform at least one mirical before breakfast.

Insurance wont pay up for all the damage. I still have a hole in the roof from November and no TV antenar.
Did you know if you dump your insurance company before all repairs are complete they might not have to pay any extra incured costs to repairs if they are found after you dump them. Nice to find the finer print after they stuff you around.

Even tho I should be getting a 3 to 6 month hold on my home lone the bank decided to give me 2 months and put my repayments up by $150 a month.

And the X is playing the If I can make life hard for you I will. Her new game is I will give you two days notice as to when she will pick up or drop off my sons. So I have to leave Sundays free as pick up could be any time between 12 and 7pm.

Lastly after we lost so much in the flood and one arse of a nabougher Debbie left in Febuary. This if nothing else has really kicked me for more than 6. We still see each other as often as we can but the 3 hour drive makes it a little hard.
Without her to help I can't aford to keep my little farm and I can't aford to leave. After the flood the property values around here are shot. The best we would get now is less than what I owe.

Sorry about bitching, I didn't want to start. Rather keep quiet than put you all through my bitching again.
Thanks for reading

Aardy, never feel that you can't bitch here.

I am sorry things have gone all pear-shaped for you.

Is there anyone in the Queensland Government looking into banking and insurance actions after the floods?

If there is, get them involved.

Good to hear from you Aardy although I wish the circumstances were happier for you.

Bear in mind that I'm not a million miles away (Springbrook to be exact) and if there is anything I can do to help I'll do my best.

What would I have done without you? Dam I have been so low before and you let me bitch and whinge for months and you gave me the sholders I needed to get over my problems.

Now just to show not all is buggered for me I have just put my Kilts into two shops. these are just small places but could be all I need to break into the market. Now if any of you blokes are interested in getting Kilted even made my first woman's shorty kilt, please Contact me.

I have got Legale Aid looking into the insurance policy for the fine print as to the 10% pay out.
The bank should of offered the 3 month hold on the lone without incured charges. putting the extention at the end of the lone.

But the X well she is a forse to her own and will be a pain for the sake of being a pain.

There are so few people willing to give others the time of day. I have found so many here that give a stranger or a cyber name so much it makes me proud to have you as friends.
Not to sound gay, I love you all

Sounds like you're having an 'adventure'.

Adventure = Terrible calamity which you manage to survive.

Here's hoping your life gets quieter and less interesting from a literary point of view.

I thought you were reasonably okay after the floods - some fences etc, but your house was okay? I'm so sorry; I miss whole patches of news because my job and lifestyle mean I'm not checking in as reguloarly as I'd like, so I obviously missed one of the updates on your specific situation.
I'm so sorry that you're having what rubato calls an 'adventure'. Don't forget that there are a lot of counselling and other services, as well as some financial help. Make appointments with anyone you vaguely think might be able to help, and even if they can't, they may be able to give you details of another place that can help. It's good that you've got legal aid help for the insurance - I hope it works out for you.
Good luck, and as others have said - if there's anything I can do to help, let me know

All I ask is if you ever see a person stuck please ask to help them. Me well I know I have so many wonderful people here and friends I see face to face ready to help out, I should never complane.
So in the last month or so I have learnt to ask for help and will work my way through my problems not dig my heals in and fight alone. It sounds so stupid but it was Deb leaving that amde me ask. I didn't have her to push me or do the asking.
I'm not to proud to ask I used to be the one who was doing the helping so I wanted to help the worse off then me.
I couldn't because I had my own mess to clean up

Oneday I will repay the kindness everyone have shown me

Alice The shouse didn't get damaged it was the two small storage sheds that filled with mud and silt. Basicly everything Deb owned was in those sheds. From all her white goods to the family albums and her winter clothing and blankets. I have dumped near all of it trying to sort out what can be saved and what is no good is breaking my heart. Deb just couldn't face it any more.
I think the only way to look at it is "it was worse for others and better for some. Just workout where you stand and be happy for the ones better off and pitty for the rest"

I stand perty well just feel things get to hard for me to keep up with

It is an amazing adventure; reading about it is fascinating, and I hope writing it is helping you see what an amazing individual you are!

What I have found is there are some really wonderfull people around the place and most of us don't realise they are there and stumble along without noticing them.

How many times I have pored my heart out and had someone say the perfect thing or the right bit of advice. In Scouts I have worked with some very trubled kids had to help others in times of need and never asked anyone to help me.

Like I said that is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. It was only the other night I was reading the replies and it hit me in the head like a brick.
I have asked you for help in near every post. So I wont say adventure I will say education.

My next big project should be a book. I wouls like to call it
"You can't shoot, root or electricut me. But I'm not me all the time"
In my travels I have been shot, electiructed, hit by a drunk driver and left to die. Traveled around most of the country worked in a hunted therater, seen the Min Min lights in WA, worked with the famous and the informas and met to many people to remember half of them.
Then I had a family and watched that fall apart, started again and now your helping me rebuild and overcome .

I think it could be a great story. Just need to change most of the names and leave out some details for my own safty.

Aardy, over the years I have come to know just how strong and compassionate you are for that reason I know you will overcome this chapter in your interesting life. All I have to offer is moral support and I do offer that with all my heart. Stay the course and move ever foreward that is the future thats where you need to be. :ok

Aardy's kilts are exceptional. The are hard-wearing, well tailored and smart.

I think Gob looks awesome in his.

there is something about a Celtic man in a kilt that makes my blood rush.

;)

Thanks Hen I was wondering if Gob liked it.
Did the shirts fit? I put one in for you to show a bit of support if he needed any when he wears his kilt

The one thing I will never understand is why in Queensland kilts weren't taken up years ago. perfect for wearing when working in the field in summer.

One of the shops that has taken the kilts is run by a husband and wife. She gave him hell about being to much of a girl because he didn't want to try one on. He now owns two and they live in Ipswich. The town that started Pauleen Hanson, so even Red necks can wera kilts
