A women was allegedly drowned by the statue in the first picture, in the pond of the second picture whilst her partner of 6 months (in the second picture) was out on a walk.

She had a drink and must have got her clothes tangled on the statue and kicked her slippers off on the grass whilst trying to get out, her partner claims.

The police aren't investigating it.

I would put decent money on it being her partner.

I have to say I find the whole "drowned in the pond held down by this statue," idea utterly unbelieveable.

Unless the woman was severely disabled how the fuck could it have happened.

He is too ready for his explanations of what occurred whilst he wasn't there.

If I came back from a walk and found my partner face down in a pond with a statue on their back I doubt I would be thinking she slipped and couldn't get up, hence her slippers on the grass as she kicked them off.

I wonder if she had a good life insurance policy?

Well no, not at the moment , but later yes I would be struggling to figure out what happened by examining the facts.

My big question is why hasn't he destroyed the damned thing? I would have doused it with gas and burned it to cinders.

Seriously though. The more I read and view those pictures, the more I am so not convinced of the partner's story.

The statue not only doesn't look like it weighs more than 6 kilos, It also doesn't look like an item that would topple particularly easily.

In addition, if it's position was on the ground next to the pond, how could it have possibly pinned her when she went to fill the bird feeder?

I would also like to know where they kept the feeder. Because it would be stupid to keep it above or near the pond as the pond would constantly get fouled by seed and bird faeces.

Don't you suppose the cops did some sort of investigation?

Pathologist Dr Hugh Cochrane said there was little evidence to determine cause of death, but drowning was most likely.
