A 56-year-old Louisville man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in the shooting of a 12-year-old boy who was ringing doorbells and running away in the Glenmary area of southeastern Jefferson County Monday night.
Michael Bishop, of the 8000 block of Hall Farm Drive, was charged with attempted murder.
Shortly before 10 p.m. Monday, Louisville Metro Police were called to the 7700 block of Kendrick Crossing Lane on the report of a child being shot.
Witnesses told police that a group of children had been playing a game in which they would run up to a home, ring the doorbell or knock and then run away.
According to his arrest citation, witnesses said Bishop came out onto his porch with a shotgun and pointed it in the direction of the children and then fired, striking the victim.
The boy, whose name is not being released because of his age, was taken to Kosair Children’s Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, police said.

Since he wasn't leaving cookies behind, he was obviously not intending to "terrorize" anyone.
Only children who leave cookies without announcing their presence are terrorists.

Hate to think what the misanthropic old b*stard would've done if it was a flaming bag of dog sh*t left on his front porch.
Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.
