Bring them all inside and have a big animal cuddle.
I am used to such temperatures in Winter, but I understand how this one will have taken you by surprise.

-3c? As a LOW! cry me a fucking river. If it were Fahrenheit it would be a different story but at -3c you can still do targeted errands outside in shorts and a t-shirt.

It is all a question of perspective.
If you live somewhere where the overnight minimum only gets to 13 degrees Celcius, then -3 is a fuck of a cold night.
Likewise if your maximum only reaches around 34 degrees Celcius then a day of 46 degrees. Will seem a tad hot.

I'm with CP...
"-3C" is only 27 degrees in normal temperature...
When I lived back East, we used to play tennis in that sort of weather....
Tell the mastiffs to man up....

I take it you both thrive in temperatures of 117 degrees Fahrenheit?
That is good to know.

Thank you Hen
It was only a few months ago we were running around in plesantly warm 47c . Ok it was hot but better than this.
It is not right for us of the Sunshine State to freeze like this.
And to the Penguins over the pond Please feel free to come and help me work in Summer this year. I want to watch you play tennis in 48c to (our highest last year) 57c

It's all relative. After six years here 0c feels to me like -10c used to in the UK. It was 2c and frosty when I left for work this morning. I even turned the heating on in the car!

I support the big animal strategy; (I hate the cold too, and was quite comfortable in Death Valley at 120ยบ, it's a dry heat) those alpacas should share their warmth!
Or else threaten to shear"em!

I believe ducks are the thoughest living thing. They spend the night floating in the dam.
The water must be close to freezing.

The ducks here survive much cooler temps and manage to continue to reproduce.
Sometimes it gets pretty chilly in our sunshine state. Even the lizards make it through.
