I was sitting down to my coffee this morning and heard about how depressed people are getting on their commute to work every day
Well this made me think how depressing is your morning run?
So I set my cammera up on the dash of the 4X4and recored part of the run to work to see if it was depressing. Sadly the vidio didn't work as well as hoped but here it is anyway

Didn't mean to come off as snotty.
So many Americans (around 14 million) are jobless and would be very happy to have to commute to a job.
I'm angry that that NEITHER major party gives a flying flip for the long-suffering middle class and instead continues to run the USA into the ditch.
A POX ON BOTH THEIR HOUSES!

I have to keep my wits about me on my commute down twisty mountain roads so it doesn't have chance to get boring or depressing.
My old commute was 45 mins up the M1 to Logan. That was depressing in itself but arriving at Logan just put the icing on the depression cake.

My commute to work isn't bad, or at least it wouldn't be if not for the rogue taxi drivers...

You should spend your downtime wisely becoming a master of Frogger. That will help...

After several months of unemployment last year I ended up with two offers at the same time. One was a Gub'mint job with the VA and the other was for a LARGE corporation, in a work enviroment that I thought I might dislike. (Turns out, I hate it).
The commute was finally the deciding factor. The commute to the VA would have been at least 30 minutes under ideal conditions, and twice that in inclement weather.
I am now 7 miles and 15 minutes from work, and both my morning and afternoon commutes are going against the masses of traffic. Both trips find me watching cars lined up on the other side of the road, waiting to squeek through one obstacle or another. I have the ability to Work from Home occasionally, but for political reasons I have chosen not to do that.
This is the shortest and nicest commute of my life and I love it. There is even a back way that I generally take with my motorcycle, that has me traveling for a few minutes longer over pleasant country two-lanes.
There is a lot to complain about with this job, but the commute is NOT one of them.

dunno what you do, but after the one year probation you become career conditional....do 2 more years and you become a career appt and laterals open up. get in as a 13 or better and you can do non-competetive laterals between agencies...your area of the country has a few federal pork jobs, not as much as martinsburg WV, but some.

My commute is great when I can yell, "Squirrel!" at real squirrels; but not so great when semi's yell < honk> at me.

My commute is 5 blocks walking through my lovely quiet residential neighborhood to the courthouse, which is on the cusp of downtown.
My best driving commute ever was when I drove out to the Blackfeet Reservation with the Rocky Mountains of Glacier Park in the windscreen view.

I am getting the following message, Aardy:
This video either has been removed from Facebook or is not visible due to privacy settings.
I'll ask Gob when he awakes if you sent him the vid, whether he could upload it to the site, or summat.
