I always assumed that they were using keywords rather than attempting to make any kind of sense.

Not really you can almost make sense of the sentences but I get the distinct impression that in concocting their sales pitches they are using overly descriptive/flowery words and phrases that don't directly translate into english and then are run through a dime store translation program by someone that doesn't know that English is the lingua franca and therefore should know it already.
