Back (sort of)

Hey folks,

Been in and out a few times but never really active like at the old CSB. Been keeping busy with the family, kids, dog, work, church stuff, etc. Still alive and ticking. Not working out anymore, as I've developed a back problem (arthritis in my coccyx of all places - yes a pain in the ass). The offspring are in Middle School and High School now (time flies, eh?).

Anyway, Gob pinged me on email and reminded me of how remiss I've been.

Gratuitous photo opportunities:

And, of course, el perro

Hey eddieq! Nice to see your face again. Sorry about your arse.

How does arthritis of the coccyx interfere with life? Does it make sitting standing and walking difficult, or does it interfere with your balance, or both?

(The party looked like a hoot.)

Mostly, it's painful to sit for long periods of time. What's truly hell is transitions from sitting to standing. Try to do that without ALL of your weight at some point being on your tailbone. I had an MRI and some injections. I follow up with the spine specialist next week. Hopefully I can get on a treatment plan that will work. I'm thinking about starting some yoga again, but I'll wait until after the appointment.

The party was great. She had a great time and that's what was important. It was hotter than hell in there (Mid July when it was routinely in the 100+ degree range) and the AC wasn't working properly in the hall.

Ow, ow, ow, ow,ow. Ow.

I hope you get some relief from the treatments.

I know how debilitating a spinal issue can be, though mine issues are higher up .

You look as though you have lost a shed-load of weight as well, which will only be to your future benefit in recovering.

Best of luck with it.

I dont post often but I do read here everyday. I too received an email from Gob but I only post on subjects I am familiar with. Mainly computers or cars and by the time my knowledge could be of use someone else already anwered what I would have said.

I will say I enjoy reading all of your debates and posts both at the old CSB and here at Plan B.

Hey Hen, I know you were worried about my fanny ;)

It's so far been a pretty good day. I finally located a chair in the office that I seem to be able to sit in without too much discomfort. I see the doc on Thursday and will discuss PT with him. Hopefully yoga and stuff like that will be OK. I like doing yoga.

Down in Oz-land, you wouldn't have a fanny. They be for laydies only.

:D

But I am glad you can sit more comfortably now. Yoga is the boss.

Sorry, not up on the international lingo. Bum ok? We've been calling it "assthritis" around here, though.
