CRAZY CANUCKS
Toronto Mayor Calls 911 In Panic After Comedian Tries To Interview Him

Well, now we’ve learned who the mayor of Toronto is! One “Rob Ford,” a hated geezer conservative tyrant according to the all-knowing “brief Google Search” who
flew into profanity-laced hysterics on the phone with 911 dispatchers after a teevee comedian lady from a Canadian political parody show turned up in his driveway with her cameraperson and tried to interview him as he was getting in his car. Ford ran and hid like a shivering goat and called police — twice — allegedly yelling at the operators, “You … bitches! Don’t you f—ing know? I’m Rob f—ing Ford, the mayor of this city!” Such hockey language! And here we thought Canada was just a kingdom of pleasant goofballs. There goes that Dream.
OH WELL, the important thing is that Toronto is now having a hearty chuckle at their idiot mayor, for being terrified of a middle-aged lady asking him funny questions.
From the Globe And Mail:
“I didn’t know who they were and obviously we’ve had death threats. There was a camera and a mike. It wasn’t any of you guys so I knew,” [Ford] said [to reporters].
The show had crossed a line by showing up at his house, he said.
“My kids and my wife are the closest things to me and I’ll do anything to protect them.”
Ah yes, the well-known “camera and mike” brutal murder weapons those comedians love so much. You can see the video of the exchange
here. [Globe And Mail via Crooks and Liars]

This is what Canadians consider funny?
She's lucky he didn't slap the shit out of her.
It is amazing how Lefties can point to elected officials with whom they disagree, and claim that they are "hated." Last time I checked, the best way to determine whether a politician is "hated" is to count the votes after an election.
Please note the language:
hated...geezer...tyrant...hysterics...ran (bullshit)...hid like a shivering goat...idiot mayor.
It looked to me like the mayor got pissed off at a woman who was trying to provoke him. He didn't run away, he didn't yell at her, he didn't assault her (although she assaulted him physically). I personally thought he should have knocked her into next week.
It's like Barry says, we (Republicans) have to tone down the hateful rhetoric. Nice to see the Lefties are just as civilized in Canada as they are South of the Border.

Id ask
1) has the writer ever even seen a goat
2) let alone one shiver
Mom had one of them f**kers in the 80's cuz it reminded her of her childhood.
I hated it. I tried to convince hunters it was a sort of spotted deer.
Of all the things it did, shiver was not one of them.

Hasn't Canada invented the bodyguard/chauffeur yet?
So, he swore at a 911 dispatcher, this is news? Who doesn't get excited during an emergency?
My mom was a police dispatcher, and if you've heard any 911 calls yourself, folks are rarely using their best manners and graces. They'll usually liberally use their full vocabulary of expletives, and make sh!t up too.
85% of the job, is just trying to get the caller to make a coherent sentence so, the dispatcher can figure out what emergency responder to send: Fire, Police or Ambulance. Asking questions like, 'What's your address?' is really just to keep the person talking and the phone line open until the computer traces where the call is coming from. Often, people answer with something useless, like 'just off the freeway!!!'
You don't know how many times police are sent to a home, just because somebody dialed 911 and dropped the phone. They'll engage Code 3, full sirens and lights, because that can mean someone is in such imminent danger, they can't stay by the phone.
Keeping someone talking, or evening babbling, means that for the moment they're still relatively safe and healthy ...what they're babbling is never graded on good grammar.
Somebody ask the dispatcher if they cared, that they were cursed at, yet again.

Is that what Americans call political courage?
Any political person who run away from a impromptu interview, screaming and swearing and issuing threats, would be out of a job the next day, here or in the UK.

I am sure that his family will be protected from ALL threats with such heroic action.
“I didn’t know who they were and obviously we’ve had death threats. There was a camera and a mike. It wasn’t any of you guys so I knew,”
As a politician, he should know that when there is a camera present, it is likely to be live and it should be treated with respect.
Never act in any way that you wouldn't want the world to see. it is likely to kill you, or at least your political career.

The mayor of Toronto is a buffoon. He gave a version of what happened that turned out to be completely debunked by a video clip of the incident, including saying that his 6 year old daughter was traumatized by being outside and seeing it all (she was nowhere to be seen in the video) , and that he was being physically prevented from driving his car away (question - if this was all such a threatening and traumatizing situation, why would he try to get into his car and go while leaving his traumatized daughter to her fate among his assaiants). He said it was still dark (presumably to bolster the idea that the crew were up to no good), when the video clearly shows bright daylight.
Mary Walsh has approached politicians of all stripes using her Marg Delahunty persona for two decades, including three sitting prime ministers. Everyone, I stress every single one of the others took it in good grace and did their best (comedic skill level notwithstanding) to play along. Rob Ford's problem (in this case at least, he has many others not particularly relevant here) is that he cannot bear to be challenged and if he does not have an appropriate response at the ready, he goes off the deep end. Come on, if not in the first 10 seconds, surely by the time he had gotten into his house to call 911 he had realized that these people did not constitute a threat. He decided he was going to make some trouble for them, so he called for the police.
