I have to say I'd be kind of offended by the way women are being portrayed in some of these "Black Friday" shopping commercials...
They're coming across like brainless, fanatical shopping robots, who live simply to camp out in front of a store at 3 O'clock in the morning....
There's a series of commercials for Target in particular, where the chick featured in them seems like a complete psycho.....
I haven't seen a single one where men are portrayed salivating at the prospect of rushing into a crowded box store at the crack of dawn....

Wait for the Super Bowl Ads telling men to run out and buy beer, in the middle of a snow storm covered in nothing but body paint and foam hats.

If I owned & watched a TV, I probably would be. Except I know many women who ARE obsessed with shopping.
As for me; I picked up some household essentials at the box store the other day, and won't shop again until January. I'll order Godiva chocolates online for our two legal assistants; otherwise I don't recognize the consumerist aspect of Christmas.

Why would men be offended by that? Many of them would actually do it! Guys don't usually get offended by being portrayed as sports-obsessed beer drinkers because, well...plenty of us ARE sports-obsessed beer drinkers.

...and I guess women really are obsessed with shopping.
Went by the local Target™ tonight, and saw this;
I don't think they were part of Occupy, so I'm assuming they were whole-heartedly supporting the corporate capitalist machine!
