The reason I'm not posting this in 'Laffs' is because a serious discussion could be had regarding the relationship of this husband and wife... (or maybe not)

I could only watch for the first minute. Either he's a complete dick, or they staged it to be "funny".

She is either the greatest dead-pan "dumb blonde schtick" comedienne since Gracie Allen, or she has the math ability of a hamster...

In any event, I can easily see why lack of math skills wouldn't hold her back in terms of her appeal...

When a guy meets a chick who looks like that, the first thing that occurs to him isn't "I wonder how good she is at calculus?"

I doubt if anyone under 50 even knows how to use a slide rule.

The more I think about it, the more I think that her problem may not have been math per se...

If you watch the video, she performs some multiplication and division calculations that are accurate...

It seems like her problem was grasping the concept and meaning of "Miles Per Hour" and applying it to the question....

I first learned to use one in high school c. 1968.

That is all we had when solving problems in electronics back in the day.

When the first HP calculators came out by the early 1970's they were EXPENSIVE (around $300) so I held onto my trusty Picket slide rule.

Yes, not nearly as accurate as even the cheapest calculators of today.

In electronics theory class, a variable of 5% was well within the stated parameters.
