Surely transplant is not the right word?
Trans·plant

1.
to remove (a plant) from one place and plant it in another.
2.
Surgery . to transfer (an organ, tissue, etc.) from one part of the body to another or from one person or animal to another

Oh I don't know, being part of the first "human to demonic creature" transplant has a certain cachet to it.

Hmmm, how many people over the age of 70 managed to make it to the top of the heart transplant list in the past year, I wonder...

I am sure who he is had absolutely NOTHING to do with giving that heart to a person to whom it would provide marginal benefit.

Now that they've managed to find a heart for Dick Cheney, do you suppose they might be able to find a brain for Jimmy Carter?

They could always give him Ronald Reagan's, if you want him to forget that he was ever president.

Look at the brighter side...

I didn't read anywhere that Cheney was given a human heart.

Today's story on NPR indicated that a very small percentage of heart transplant recipients are over the commonly accepted cutoff age of 65; generally that limit is set by the risks of surgery on a patient of advancing age, but it seems to me hearts (all organs) should go to younger patients first.

And yes, I'd be willing to sign up for that standard myself.

Fixed.
