Yeah, this just screams 'Over-permission parenting' when she won't even wean her child, unless HE wants to.

Against her doctor's advice, that mom probably wouldn't have cut the umbilical cord, and stuffed her precious angel back into the womb, just because BIRTH made him cry.

I am agreeing with this statement.

Additionally, I also believe there is a finite point to breast-feeding.

I believe that point occurs well before the age of this boy.

She does make a point "that's what they're made for".

She said she was breast fed until she was 6.

That child should have a full set of teeth by now; there's something they were made for too.

My point was: the child should easily be able to feed himself, and have enough variety of nutrition that he shouldn't need breast milk.
Sure, many children don't want to be weaned, but children shouldn't be the ones making the decisions- that's called spoiling, not parenting.

I'm sorry, I've never breast fed...

I believe strongly in the benefits of breast feeding and intended to breast feed my own babies; for that reason I delayed breast reduction despite suffering with a chest too large for my frame since my 20s.

Still, I think language acquisition has to be the cutoff point for suckling at the tit.

I think it's pretty evident she thought different, just sayin.

Although as of yet the boy has made no comment, to my knowledge.

To my knowledge the overly breast fed boy has not yet uddered a comment.

However, his lack of comment will be perceived by many people as a mouthful, which can and will be misconstrued by others even though his mother has stated openly that she is moving forward with the breast of intentions.

Oh goddess, isn't one thread full of breast puns enough? Or do people really need to milk this for all its worth?

If mammary serves correct, this group of boobs isn't likely to quit tittering anytime soon.
