Well, our local MLB franchise is NL, so of course I'll be favoring the NL team, but I am not optimisitc. I don't follow the AL closely, but from what I've seen there's a lot more talent and it's a much tougher league than the NL.
GAH!

The All-Star game was kind of a cool idea originally. I thought it was better when the players picked the All Stars.

I think someone On High ought to decide whether the point of the game is to try to win, or to get every rostered player on the field.

In this summer of HEAT, I think many of the players are going to appreciate this couple days off.

I have become an ardent "fan" of the Pittsburgh Pirates, who, after 20 years of awfulness now finally appear to have evolved into a competent Major League baseball team. Maybe it's all an illusion - it was last year - but it is damn great fun right now. The Pirates have two players on the All Star roster, one deserving (McCutcheon) and one less so (Hanrahan).

I hope Ortiz does well...and I'm glad there are no other Red Sox players participating. Beyond that...don't really care.

And Matt Cain should pitch the 4th, 5th & 6th innings and get the win.

In English?
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

Something about a lighter...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

The National League won the game by a score of 8-0. The National League representative in the World Series will now be given the home-field advantage.

The surprises were that the National League hitters managed to do pretty well against a couple of American League pitchers who are considered relatively "unhittable," mainly that Verlander fellow. On the other side, one can never be surprised at a shutout. The pitching should be outstanding on both sides.

Although "ballot stuffing" in a few cities resulted in players with sub-par credentials getting positions on the starting teams, a couple of those players contributed significantly to the National League's win. Who would have guessed?

The players really seem to enjoy this. It looks like great fun.

I watched Verlander choke and turned it off before they pulled him...

Dead wrong? In your opinion? Or are you the fucking baseball god?

Sandoval over David Wright?

Posey over Ruiz?

Cabrera over Ryan Braun or Andrew McCutcheon?

You gotta be shittin' me.

Face it, you dislike the SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS and anything remotely to to with the West Coast, California, or the City of San Francisco in particular.

When's the game?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
