Their markups are obviously a hell of a lot less than what you'd get dinged for at a funeral home. If they had decent looking models (i.e. that didn't look like a "Walmart" casket), I would have no shame in buying one and getting it shipped to the funeral home handling the arrangements. That is, if I don't do what a friend of mine did, and get buried in a cardboard box (handy for allowing friends to write farewell messages on before the burial).

Not that I go shopping for caskets much, but those seem to be good quality ones made in the US, by Star Legacy. They also provide caskets to Sears™.

I like the display cases they have for the veterans' flags and medals, but for a few sticks of wood and some glass, they are grossly overpriced. Shouldn't really cost much more than a nice picture frame of that size.

Donation sounds like a good call; either that or cremation, but I've yet to decide where I want my ashes scattered.

Just about anything other than uselessly preserving my corpse and storing it like it's going to be good for something later.

At what age do they decide your leftovers are useless and not worth the risk of transplant?

I need to know because at that point I'll donate my body to a dog food manufacturer.

Always thought caskets/coffins a waste of money, cardboard box and a tesco carrier bag will suit me just fine.

The cash you would have spent on my coffin (which would have been a fabulous one off, lined in purple satin etc etc) can then be spent on getting very drunk, dancing on tables and having a she was fabulous but now shes dead lets disco party!!
