We're headed for our fourth non-white Christmas in a row.

In Western PA, we were given forecasts all yesterday about rain changing to snow overnight, and 3-6 inches on the ground by morning. I brought my computer home, in case it was bad, so I could "work" from home.
Yawn.
Roads were slightly moist this morning, no snow or ice. My driveway was actually dry.
Road salt trucks sitting along the side of the road with their engines idling.
Are the weather dudes being uber-cautious, or just trying to get people to watch the 11 o'clock news?

Just on track for the Sierra snowpack:
http://cdec.water.ca.gov/cgi-progs/snow/PLOT_SWC
And only slightly ahead of normal for local rainfall:
http://www.bonnydoonweather.com/
We're at 23in in Bonny Doon.
Last year was a little dry at 48in yr total. "Normal" is around 65in +/-.
Hoping for a lot more rain this month.

It just started here about an hour ago...apparently it took the storm pattern longer than they expected to shift down from the north....
You should be getting it soon....

Nice steady rain here in Petaluma. I'm happy, but the chickens didn't look too pleased this morning when I let them out...

Why hasn't Randy Newman ever written a song about Petaluma?

Though I've never been to Montezuma
I've spent much time in Petaluma
Where the leaves are now orange
As a rusty door hinge
On a old gate that swings at Fort Yuma
needs work...
