Well every page you view on the net is something you download So faster download faster browsing. Question really is how fast is fast enough

I did the test at home (same laptop I use at work) and got this result:
In practical terms, I can't tell any difference between home and office, but I don't stream videos or down/upload huge media files or play games.

I apologize for my strange behavior.
When I went back and re-read what I had written I realized there was no way anyone could give the real answer that I was looking for - which is 'What internet speed is good for me?'
Then I decided that I had asked a stupid question and I wished I hadn't started the thread.
I should have just stopped posting and left things as they were.
But I didn't...

Buy whatever DSL is cheapest and then pay for incrementally faster connections until you don't care anymore. Once the connection is fast enough that you don't care its a waste of money to pay for more.
