Request for searching help

Post by Jarlaxle »

I have a strange request: I need the exact dimensions (mostly, the exact height) of the cargo area of a 1994-2003 Dodge full-sized cargo van. (B150/250/350, B1500/2500/3500, or Ram Van 1500/2500/3500...all use the same body shell and should be the same.) I have searched and found nothing. I was hoping someone here who is better with computers than I am (which would be pretty much everyone) might do better than I did.

I think I found what you need on this site here (loooong article; I had to dig down pretty far into it before I found the info). It gives the following dimensions for the 1987-1997 Ram Van:

Hinged door opening (height x width): 47.2 x 49.2
Sliding door opening (height x width): 47.2 x 39.8
Max. interior width: .....................72.2
Width between wheel-housings: .......50.0
Max inside height: .......................53.2 (<--BINGO!)

...and then later on in the same article gives these figures for the 1992-2000 Dodge vans:

........................109.6 WB..127.6 WB..MaxiVan
Rear to seat back: .....91.2......109.2.......135.2
Rear to engine cover: 119.6......137.6.......163.6
Exterior length: .......187.........205.........231
Cargo volume: ........206.6.......246.7......304.5
Ground clearance: .......6.8.........7.2.......8.4

If that's not enough, there are a couple of guys who work where I do (but not on the same shift as me) who have Dodge vans of that approximate vintage--one a SWB, one a Maxi; given a few days lead time I could probably track down one of them and measure some stuff myself.

You get the cigar, I couldn't find any meaningful specs for jarl.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.
