Nights in white satin cover

Post by Gob »

Can't work out if I love it or loathe it!

CUZ I love you
CUZ ????????

Recorded in Tennessee then?

Here's a much better approach to the theme:

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I have no problem deciding - both of those eyes need sharpened pencils driven into them so I don't drive one into my own eye to block out the pain.

Well the video is shit. Ignoring that I'll give the song a solid meh. On it's own it's just a another pop song in comparison to the original it doesn't hold a candle. The original evoked eternal loss and longing this one the object of desire could have stepped out for a cigarette.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

There have actually been an enormous number of Nights In White Satin covers recorded over the years:

I looked this one up expecting it to be absolutely godawful, and was surprised to find that it really wasn't all that bad:

The original put me to sleep. The covers make me puke large chunks of partially digested cheese balls.

That sounds like a "Candy Slice" Gilda Radner early SNL takeoff... 8-)

Honey, there are not enough pencils for both of us.

(I never liked the song to begin with, and these covers really aren't helping to change that.)

Heavens! The Janis/Elke wannabes approach reminded me unavoidably of this:

I guess they were Tooth wannabes as well

I can only hope Greg Ridley had nothing to do with this.
