After Apple decided it wouldn't pay musicians for their works during the initial three month trial period of its new streaming service (shame on them), and not one musician resisting, Taylor Swift stepped up and told Apple to stick it - and she would be withholding "1989" from the service.
And then, Apple blinked:

Taylor Swift certainly has the market leverage to be effective; given her huge and devoted fan base, I wouldn't want to be on her bad side in anything to do with the music business. Good for her, sticking up for artists who aren't superstars and who couldn't fight for themselves. She's my pop star hero of the week.
