Happy Halloween!

Post by Guinevere »

One of the iconic pieces of my generation:

“I ask no favor for my sex. All I ask of our brethren is that they take their feet off our necks.” ~ Ruth Bader Ginsburg, paraphrasing Sarah Moore Grimké

If Michael Jackson was alive today he would look like Caitlyn Jenner.

The prevailing theory is that he was trying to look like Diana Ross...

I've got an Elvira's Movie Macabre marathon running on our living room TV...

(One of the things I like about Hulu, is that if you set up a show with a lot of episodes, it just rolls over from one to the next...)

A little later we'll watch our two traditional Halloween shows...

The Nightmare Before Christmas and Ed Wood...

Martian Landau's portrayal of Bella Lugosi is a Tour-de-force...he won an Oscar for it, and he certainly deserved it...

(That was a strong year for Best Supporting Actor... he beat out Samuel L. Jackson from Pulp Fiction....)

Jimmy is going as Batman with one of those "muscle" costumes...

(Damn, I wish they'd had those when I was a kid... 8-) )

Tati is putting together a costume that she describes as "The Queen Of Mars"...(my daughter and I have watched a lot of shlocky science fiction together... 8-) )

She and a couple of her girlfriends are going to take Jimmy and their younger siblings trick-or treating...

And then she's going to drop the munchkins off and hang out with her friends for a while at the beach...

"We give the first 1% of kids to our door all of the candy"

Americans Against Education

That's supposed to be the English language, I take it? I suppose it's better than giving them to Moloch

"Of the children who come to our door, we give all of the candy to the first 1%...." Really. Was that so difficult?

How would you know that you are giving all of your candy to 1% of the children if you give it all away before 100% have come?

You would need to give candy to one out of every 100 who come to your door. That would be impossible to do without knowing the total amount that will be coming, so the best idea is not giving out any candy and letting kids find jobs and earn their own. 1% of them won't need to find jobs. They can get all the candy they want at home because they have a rich parents and a trust fund.

When you give away candy it teaches kids to depend on the government for everything. It's unhealthy and moronic and only a twat would do that.
