All Time Greatest Commercials...
All Time Greatest Commercials...
I remember this one since I was a kid...
"Emily, why do you always have to make such a big production out of everything?"
Hit it Ann:

Re: All Time Greatest Commercials...
I only saw this one time on one of those "world's greatest commercial" shows (it's for a tobacco produced and sold in England, after all), and I've always liked it. It just seemed so matter-of-fact, so appropriate, so ..... right!
And the look on those two hooligans' faces .... PRICELESS!

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Both of those are vintage good, but a favorite of mine is more recent:

Cat herding, heh? Why do I get a feeling that you may be a cat hoarder or at least a multi cat owner?Long Run wrote:Both of those are vintage good, but a favorite of mine is more recent...

“In a world whose absurdity appears to be so impenetrable, we simply must reach a greater degree of understanding among us, a greater sincerity.”

Good call, RT, that is how the house would look if I weren't there to herd the cats.

I saw this one once in England, and then in one of those best commercial shows later; it's one of the best:

They could never run that ad in America.Big RR wrote:I saw this one once in England, and then in one of those best commercial shows later; it's one of the best:

The average viewer would need to have it explained to them ... and still wouldn't understand it.

My mate John Otway did a tele advert
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
