We got that book too, rubato! Different photographer, somewhat the same concept (though these photos here seem to focus pretty exclusively on vast, abstract patterns created by agriculture). We also saw the exhibition of all the poster-size "Earth From Above" photos in Millennium Park in Chicago in 2002. I was astonished to find out just now from the link you supplied that that was one of only two times the exhibition was shown in the US--the other time being at the NY Public Library in 2000-01.

ETA: Those were some very cool photos, Gob. I wish the BBC article had told us just what we were seeing in some of those views, though...
