New drama series on Netflix, set in the 70s, about two FBI agents who pioneer the tactics of studying the psychology of convicted serial killers in order to solve other similar crimes.
Very well acted, great production values - like being transported back in time - and a terrific soundtrack. I’m starting episode 3 and really enjoying it, so I highly recommend.
Some of the best TV I’ve seen this past year has been Netflix and Hulu series - and Amazon, of course.

Agree with BSG, Mindhunter is a very good show. The first episode starts a bit slow, but you'll be hooked by the second episode and bummed the season ends so quickly. The characters are based loosely on actual people, but they supposedly stay close to the actual crimes presented.

Thanks for posting that Long Run...The first episode starts a bit slow but you'll be hooked by the second episode
We watched the first episode a couple of weeks ago, and really weren't drawn in...
I'll give it another go...

Re: Mindhunter
And Season 2 just keeps getting better, especially as they do actual investigative work on a major serial murder case. If you haven't jumped on this one yet, it is definitely one of the better series to come along in the last few years.
Re: Mindhunter
I agree; great writing and attention to detail of real life serial murder cases, plus an excellent soundtrack and period set design. Season 2 focused on the Atlanta child murders, a serial killer case many believe to be unsolved as of today. This series is must see for true crime enthusiasts.

So binged both seasons. I had forgotten how much people smoked in the 70s/80s! I could practically smell it coming out of the teevee. Gawd, we were gross.
GAH!

Just started* watching this. Could have done without being reminded of Jerry Broudos. (Not looking up proper spelling for that POS) not that they have gone too far into the details of his crimes against n this show but he was particularly sadistic. Need a palate cleanser now and I already watched the new oversimplified.

Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
