Crybaby songs

Post by alice »

Long Run's thread about annoying songs made me think of other songs that I either love or hate, and I've been having a nice time remembering :-)

I got me thinking of those songs I can't hear all the way through without crying.
There are two that I have never, ever listened to all the way through without becoming a bubbling wreck:

Mr Bojangles - can anyone listen to the bit where the dog up and died without getting all teary eyed?

And a Bobby Goldsboro song 'Honey' just gets to me for some reason. My kids have a great laugh because I love the song, have heard it a hundred times or more, and still have tears pouring down my face every single time before it gets to the end. It's meant to be a bit of a tearjerker, but I've heard it enough that I should be 'desensitised' by now - I don't know why it still 'gets' me every time.
Life is like photography. You use the negative to develop.

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I will wait til I get home to post my cry baby songs. I have a number of them and they may have already been posted above but YouTube is blocked at work which brings me to my post at this point.

Do you guys know how funny this thread reads with You Tube blocked?

It looks (for all intents and purposes) that Timster and Scooter have been so over come with the songs that they are just posting screens of blank and getting overwhelmed.

Not tested for content or quality I don't want to get weepy at the moment
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
