I've always said Cruise's role in Tropic Thunder was the best thing I've ever seen him do.

Surprisingly, the movie really does have a lot to recommend it (although I totally could have done without Jack Black; I haven't liked him in anything since High Fidelity).

Totally agree. He was almost as much of a music snob as you and Gob, but likable all the same. :D

I just binge watched Dead Like Me, which I found to be very life affirming. Anyone else watch it when it aired? It was on Showtime several years ago, just showed up in Amazon Prime.

How can I be a "music snob" when I have such exquisite taste?

My guess would be "marmite with hints of whisky"
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I saw it on one of the cable channels (maybe TNT?) a couple of years back; it was probably edited though. For the most part I enjoyed it, but as they expanded the cast of regular characters I found a couple too hard to take.

Speaking of acting range and Jack Black. I reccomend Bernie. It's a pseudo-documentary based on a true story. It took a while just for me to accept that. He wasn't playing the character as a joke.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

WTF does "life affirming" actually mean? Did you think you were dead?

Seriously? Dictionaries are helpful when you don't know the meaning of words or phrases: http://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dict ... -affirming
