We don't have that keld. But it don't matter - The Hobbit showed up at Mimosa Mall on Saturday and we went to see it after church today. I felt cheated - it wasn't three hours but only 2.5. We stayed to the bitter end of the credits and I learned they employed a "Fur Groomer" amongst other interesting occupations.

The movie is brilliant - all one could hope for and more IMO. I was sorry it ended and didn't need to get up to pee even once.. . opens barn door, stands back...

Ok, saw it last night.

A good, but not great, movie.

Effects were amazing, though unfortunately we were sat too close to the screen to make best use of the 3D effect.

It filled the time space well, with no dragging, I hope they keep that up for the next two episodes.

Thorin Oakenshield was a bit wooden, the rest of the dwarves ok.

The music was second rate, they should have got Lisa Gerrard to do it.

I'd forgotten how much more of a kids book "The Hobbit" was compared to LOTR.

Rivendell was superbly realised, New Zealand is beautiful.

Radagast the brown? Why inflate that character?

My biggest problem with it was , believe it or not Martin Freeman, he's getting over exposed?

Oh, I love the way they did a "Jaws" with Smaug.

I mustard mitt to being mildly offended when I realised that Peter Jackon had made his trolls Australian.

I thought it was the old "chup" on the shoulder that Kiwis carry about Aussies.

Then I realised who he had based them on and I couldn't stop laughing.

Guin, Rebus appears twice at the same time in this!
