Really good stuff; a lot of talent in both videos...
The first one reminds me of the kind of thing Victor Borge used to do...
The second one completely blows me away. What an extraordinary prodigy....How that little girl can produce that sound with her little lungs and vocal chords is unbelievable; (and with absolutely no formal voice training) you'd think that somehow it was faked, but apparently not...

I don't mean to take anything away from the girl's performance -- she had a nice clear tone, hit all the notes well and had pretty decent phrasing (from what I could hear over the applause), and after all, she's only 9; she did a beautiful job on one of the most popular pieces in the repertoire. But if you listen to that aria sung by a real operatic soprano there really is no comparison. To tell that poor child that she sounds like a reincarnation of Maria Callas is certainly flattering but wildly hyperbolic, to say the least; Fleming, Netrebko and Gheorghiu are still pretty secure in their gigs. Well Sue, if she doesn't get training, Id bet your wouldn't want to hear what she sounds like then. I've heard of many such "prodigies" who had their voices ruined by not getting competent teaching. Just as one wouldn't start dancing en pointe the first day of ballet (usually you need a couple of years of training to build up the muscles first), singing requires training and support, lest you ruin your vocal cords. She sounded really good for someone her age, but I hope she gets the proper training for her sake.
