Congratulations, Gob, I knew there'd be an upside for those vacay snaps. Now, if you can sell them on some tunes ...

Wes, the trunks were cut for their cork about five years ago, they will be cut back again in another five.

Thanks Joe, Guin, and Wes.
Kristina, I volunteered it for free when they asked if they could use it. I'm happy just to get a photo credit for it.

The credit is what really matters. In big letters.
Here's hoping it leads to more requests!

Thanks again all.
I've now been told, by the publicity officer for the Arboretum, that the image has been entered in a competition they are running!

I think that I shall never see
a poem as lovely as a tree.
I'd hoped, of course, that there would be
a tree still left for me to see.
Some lumber firm from out of town
has chopped the whole darn forest down
But I'll show up those dirty skunks:
I'll write a poem and call it "Trunks".
Stolen from Mad magazine many years ago.
Well done Gob.

Just got this in an email!
Hi Taff,
FYI, your gorgeous photo of the Cork oak forest is being used a lot here atm. It’s on the verso of a business card and DL flier I’m using to encourage visitors to participate in our survey. It’s on the front of the A4 flier. Hope you like them. See attached - some are low res versions and your image looks even better on the high res print versions. I’ll also put the image on the large grove screen in the Village Centre. Your image is also being used online to promote Ginger Catering’s Hansel and Gretel dinner on 24 August, see GC site at:
http://www.gingercatering.com.au/kitche ... gust-2016/ It will also be on our website but isn’t live yet.
It’s one of the best Cork oak images I have and thank you again for letting us use it!

As usually, in my state of constant confusion -- I can't see the forest for the trees. Maybe it's because there is too much shade which makes everything so much darker. What am I supposed to be looking at?
